The South Carolina Real Estate Market

This image speaks milestones.

Let’s talk about the real estate market right here in South Carolina. Those numbers are just speaking volumes!

This is all compared to data from last month (January 2022) and the year before (January 2021).

We’re going to crunch some numbers.

Inventory supply – there is a decrease in inventory supply of 41.2%.

The days a home is on the market before an offer is placed has decreased by 23.5%

Pending sales (homes with an accepted offer) has gone up by 4.6%

And finally, the median sales price – in other words, the average sale price of a home, has gone up by 14.6%.

Now, what does all that mean? Quite simple – this really is a seller’s market RIGHT NOW!

Ready to talk about selling or purchasing your home right here in the Upstate? Then you need an aggressive realtor. And, you’ve found one!

There’s a new “thought process” here in Greenville – and it’s called the Greenville Gateway. It’s still completely in the planning stages, but the idea here is to reimagine the entrance from I-385 with features such as a pedestrian walkway, a plaza, restaurants and walkways.
Of course, as I mentioned, this is COMPLETELY in the planning stages, but you can attend the charrette: The project’s series of public meetings + open studio sessions takes place starting Fri., Feb. 18 and ends with a presentation and Q+A on Tues., Feb. 22.

What Exactly Is Farm-To-Table?

You’ve probably heard that term before. So, let’s talk about a definition.
Farm-to-table.(adj.) A dish composed of locally grown ingredients. In other words, there’s a small distance between the farm where the food was grown, and the table where you’re eating it.

So, here’s the neat thing – essentially we are talking about local farms here. And, the neat thing is that there are a TON of them right here in Greenville, and in our surrounding areas!

You’ve heard me say time and time again to support our local businesses and our community. Well, here’s a great way to do it.

There are over 1,000 local farms in Greenville County – and you can find a ton of their goods in local restaurants.

GVL Today recently shared an article with some of those restaurants, and I’d like to share that with you. So again – support our local farmers!

Thank you for such a great review!

“Felt that we were in excellent hands from the first meeting through closing. Couldn’t ask for anything more from a realtor. Knowledge of the area was excellent as were negotiation skills. Everything was taken care of in a timely, professional way.”
