Ok, you more than likely won’t actually fly there, but let me tell you. GVL Today posted an article about a local state park that just amazed me. And it’s perfect for that weekend getaway for family vacation.
If you haven’t been there – head to Cloudland Canyon State Park in Rising Fawn, Georgia. Now, where is Rising Fawn? Glad you asked! It’s about 4 ½ hours away in the northwest corner of Georgia, near Chattanooga.
Now that you had your geographic lesson of the day, check out how cool this park is. It’s one of Georgia’s LARGEST STATE PARKS, filled with waterfalls, incredible scenery and deep canyons.
You can camp at one of more than 150 campsites (all different kinds to choose from), and spend your day hiking, exploring caverns, biking and geocaching.
If hiking, walking and biking are some of the things you love, you can enjoy 7 different trails. Over 64 miles of hiking trails and over 30 miles of biking trails to be exact!
Plus, there are many small eateries to fuel up your body after that long hike – each of which are only minutes away.
This absolutely looks like a really nice park to explore, visit, and simply enjoy at least once this summer!
