Toothpaste – It’s Not Just For Teeth

Remember a while back, we talked all about different hacks? Unique and different ways to use vinegar every day was one of them. Well, back by popular demand, I’m going to try to write up some more blogs on different hacks. And, if you have a hack that you like using, drop me a note! We can share our ideas and thoughts together!

So this time, we’re going to talk about toothpaste. I can only hope and pray that you know to use it on your teeth ?, and you may have even heard that it can dry up a pimple (quick little hack trick for teens especially!), but did you know you can use toothpaste for a lot of other things?

Now, for each of these – they do recommend non-gel toothpaste. Any brand, even a dollar store brand will work! So, without further ado, here are some great toothpaste hacks that I’ve come across!

Shoe cleaner – Take a little dab of toothpaste and rub it into your work shoes. Buff until shiny using a soft cloth. You can do this trick on leather shoes as well as trying to get your white sneakers – well – white!

Got a cut or bug bite? In a pinch, you can put a little toothpaste onto a bug bite or small cut. It will stop the bleeding and even take away the itch!

Like to swim? Use a little bit of toothpaste on your swim goggles. Of course, rub it off so you can see before you get in the water. It’ll prevent them from fogging up!

Sigh writing on the wall – we’ve all probably experienced that one. Get rid of that “artwork” your littles have lovingly left on your walls with a few squirts of toothpaste and a scrub brush. There’s no guarantee this one will work, but it’s better than hopefully having to repaint!

Coffee stains in your mug? Rub a little toothpaste in there, rinse the residue clean, then run the mug through your dishwasher or wash well. Stains begone!

And finally, wash your hands! If you’ve been cleaning fish, or just have a stinky thing you’ve been doing with your hands, and have washed them with soap and can still smell that yuckiness… try toothpaste. The grittiness of toothpaste plus the mint, will get rid of the smell ?
