Real Estate News

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) reported last week that their Housing Market Index (HMI) hit an all-time 35-year history high with a score of 83. This index gauges the perceptions of current single-family home sale builders on what their sale expectations will be for the next six months as well as looking at traffic for new homes of prospective buyers.

The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) put out a separate report that showed mortgage applications for new home purchases increased by 33% over a year ago. Once again, experts are citing historically low mortgage rates and buyers seeking more space as the main drivers for the resurge.
