Artisphere!

Mark your calendars Greenville!

Artisphere is back! May 6-8.

Here’s the cool thing – no tickets, no timeslots – and it’s FREE!

Artisphere is an art event right here in Greenville. It takes place right on Main Street, and is the perfect opportunity to surround yourself in local art, plus enjoy our downtown. And, when we say art, we are talking about visual art, performing arts and even culinary!

Kids activities (known as Kidsphere) will also be available. Your youngsters will be taking part in kid-friendly crafts and demonstrations.

Artisphere is one of the biggest events in our area. If you have never been to one, or are new to our area, you won’t want to miss this! Get more info on it here!

Have You Seen Me?

Have you seen this tall wispy grass here in South Carolina? If you have, or at least are pretty positive that you’ve seen it, we’d like you to report it here. You see, it’s called cogongrass, and it’s a very invasive plant species that came to the U.S. from Japan around 1912. The weed is extremely flammable, so it’s very dangerous in areas with a heightened risk for fire. It displaces native plants that birds and small animals need for shelter or food. It also invades pastures and is inedible to livestock.

So even though you might think it’s pretty, we really want to get this weed under control. Report any sightings of it through that link above!

A Shout Out!

Congratulations to Travelers Rest! They recently were featured in Travel + Leisure’s article, “8 Charming Small Towns in South Carolina — From the Mountains to the Beach.” And many local businesses were mentioned as places you should really visit including Tandem Creperie and Coffeehouse, Swamp Rabbit Brewery, and Hotel Domestique.

So, if you’ve been thinking about moving to Travelers Rest, you need a realtor who knows today’s market. Call, text or email me!
