A Soapbox Moment

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

This, my friends, is the first amendment of the U.S. Constitution. And why are we talking about that right now? Well, this is a Victoria soapbox moment ?

We just finished Halloween. You know, that time of the year when all the kiddos (or at least a good chunk of them) barely sleep, head outside in their adorable costumes, trick or treat or trunk and treat (or both), load up on candy, and have the time of their lives. Usually around the middle of October or so, you not only see Halloween decorations in the stores, but you also start to see Thanksgiving decorations in the stores.

Then, about a week or so before Halloween (sometimes even earlier), you start to see Christmas decorations.

Here’s my soapbox moment – can’t we just let these holidays have their limelight – their moment to shine if you will? I mean myself personally, I love going into a store and seeing it decked out for Christmas, decorated for Halloween, seeing all the Thanksgiving and fall décor. But when you go down one aisle and see Christmas trees, and head down the next aisle and see skeletons… I’m sorry but we just need to draw the line ______.

Maybe it’s just me, and that’s ok! We’re all entitled to our opinions right? But if any of you feel the same way, or different, I’d love to hear from you!

This is completely open to opinions, feelings, and a good healthy argument ?

And, if you’re thinking of purchasing a home this fall or winter, I’d love to chat with you! We’ll find your dream home – together! Sellers – don’t forget to contact me in regards to selling your home too! My email is thevictoriacottlegroup@gmail.com, and my direct phone is (864) 275-3953.
